If your filter gets clogged with dirt, it can cause an unpleasant odor. From experience, we know that this odor comes from your filter and not from the water itself. The filter is an important part of your spa or hot tub. It’s where all the dirt and bacteria collect.
To get the most out of your spa water, it is essential to keep your filters clean.
We recommend that you clean your filters at least once a week. To help you with this, we at AquaFinesse have developed a fast-acting 'effervescent' tablet to clean your filter and keep it in top condition.
Clean your filters in just one hour with AquaFinesse Filter Cleaner!
Simple weekly treatment
• Remove the filter.
• Fill a bucket with 10 liters of warm water.
• Add 2 AquaFinesse Filter Cleaning Tablets. (small filters, 1 tablet)
• Insert the filter into the bucket and leave for at least 1 hour (if the filter is very dirty, you can leave it in the cleaning fluid for up to 24 hours).
• Make sure the filter is completely submerged in water. If this is not possible, rotate the filter regularly to ensure complete cleaning.
• After one hour, rinse the filter in an upright position with a strong jet of tap/hose water, working from top to bottom.
• Insert the filter back into your hot tub’s filter housing.
(If possible, let the filter dry before replacing it. We recommend purchasing an extra filter to allow you to do this.)
How often should I clean my filter?
You can compare your filter to a vacuum cleaner bag. It’s where all the dirt collects. That’s why it’s important to clean your filter every week. If you’re experiencing frequent scalding, we recommend cleaning your filter even more frequently.
