STARVER® X
Lo-Chlor Starver® X is a safe and effective superior strength phosphate remover for swimming pools, fountains and ponds. Starver® X is a curative solution designed to remove high levels of phosphate. One liter will remove up to 6,000 ppb (6 ppm) of phosphates from a 50,000 gallon pool.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
If algae are present, it is recommended that you first treat them with one of the Lo-Chlor algaecides before beginning phosphate removal.
- Clean or backwash the filter and ensure the pool water is balanced.
- Shake the container well before use.
- Slowly add the required amount of Starver® X to the pool water directly in front of the skimmer box inlet.
- It is recommended that immediately after adding Starver® X, you place a Lo-Chlor Miraclear Pool Clarifier Cube directly into the pump basket (follow package directions). Adding a Miraclear Pool Clarifier Cube will reduce any cloudiness associated with phosphate removal.
- Run the filtration system continuously for 24 hours. Check the filter pressure regularly and backwash if necessary.
- Test the phosphate level of the pool water at least 24 hours after treatment.
- If necessary, repeat additional doses at weekly intervals until the phosphate level is within the acceptable range. For faster results, the Lo-Chlor Starver® X dose may be repeated at 24-hour intervals.
NB After treatment, check the phosphate levels in the pool regularly. For continuous phosphate control and treatment, use Lo-Chlor Starver®.
